Thought I'd post some pictures of how we decorated for Christmas. We hadn't put up our village in years, due to we didn't have it in North Carolina and we just couldn't figure out where to put it here. This year I decided to at least put up the houses and building above the kitchen cupboards, we loved how it looked.
I think they are playing the
Wii, I'm loving the ability to put garland, lights and bows on all the furniture.
This is
Makenna's doll Jackie Rhett. Long story short, she got this doll when Rhett was born and she stayed with Jackie, hence the name. Every Christmas the doll becomes the Baby Jesus. The insects go with a Christmas story that my Grandma Ruby gave me about the birth of Christ. Email me if you want a copy, it's really great and kids love it. This has become a favorite in our home, we put it right by the piano so we can all see it everyday and remember why we celebrate.
Yep, they are bowling pins. We took old bowling pins we got from the bowling alley and painted them to look like snowmen. Dean's is the
penguin.
Our tree!!! Each year the kids get a new ornament, the result is a very full tree.
Our stocking hanger that has been 5 years in the making. I started it in North Carolina and never finished it. But not this year, go me, I finished it and used it.
