Going into LOCK DOWN

Insipred by our niece, we are going into LOCK DOWN!!!
There are too many people that blog hop, me included-I find a cute craft blog and hop away and sometimes end up on a personal blog.  I just want to keep our family safe and we started with the hopes of being able to keep our family and friends informed of our silly actions since we move so often.  So here's what  you need to do, send me your email, or post it in the comments.  And when we go private, you will get an invite.  Deal?

Mormon Battallion

In a previous post, you read we joined the Mormon Battalion. Well, jokes on you, we didn't. We just went to the new visitors center in Old Town San Diego. Caden has all his equipment and is ready to march off. The Mormon Batallion never ended up fighting. Many stayed in California and helped build a watering system, flour and saw mills.

Since they ended up in California, they got to pan for gold.
Nope hasn't found any.
Concentration is the key.

Dean was promoted

To CWO2-Chief Warrant Officer 2

Grandma Joyce

On the way home from Utah we stopped to see Joyce. She has been very sick lately. But was up for a visit.
Plus they got to see cousins. Jennie was visiting from Texas so it was extra special. Joyce, Allison, Natalie, Rhett, Caden, John, Ashlynn, Makenna, Emma and Lauren.

Makenna and Jennie. This is Dean's youngest sister and Makenna's look a like.

Cove Fort

Makenna always asks if we can stop by Cove Fort when ever we have driven past. Usually we are in to much of a hurry, or it's the middle of the night, or we are so sick of being in the car so the answer is always no. But not this time. We took the tour of the small fort and learned all about it. Yes, there are two extras, Anna and Piper. To help out Josh and Adele we drove the girls from California to Utah to Idaho. They are very good travelers and we had a lot of fun.
Dean didn't go on this trip as he was away for the month with the Marine Corps. As soon as I can get some of his pictures, I will post them as well.

Wyatt and Rebecca

How to beat the heat....

You stay in the pool. :)Piper was playing peek-a-boo, Makenna played along. There is not too many places to hide. Good thing Piper is easily entertained.

The pool gang.
Look at those muscles.
And you eat Kitty Litter!!
(This was a cake Kari made for Wyatt and Rebecca's groom's dinner. It looked just like a cat litter box, poop and all. Travis set it down on the table and Anna was first to dig in. Rhett helped make the poops that go in it. It was so funny to watch. I recommend it for everyone to have it at least once.)

Horseback Riding

Caden and Rebecca
The Griswald's go horseback riding.
Rebecca, Wyatt, Anna, Rhett, Lucas, Sydney, Reese, Makenna, Brian, Kai, Natalee and Caden.

I love this picture of Makenna and Anna watching Natalee. (yes, that is a Cinderella dress-up and snow boots that Anna has on. Perfect riding attire.)

Natalee, Wyatt, Makenna and Rebecca.
Yee Haw!!! Get 'em Rhett.

Caden can sew

Caden was the only one home for a few days this summer. Makenna with in Las Vegas with cousins and Rhett was at Scout Camp on Catalina Island. He was soooooo bored. He asked if I would teach him to sew something. Off to the fabric store we went. AND........
TA DAA!!!! Toy Story pillow case.
