Housework

"Our house is clean enough to be healthy, and dirty enough to be happy." -Author Unknown
"Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing."
~ Phyllis Diller

I love these. I've had a cold and haven't been keeping up on the housework, when I came across these I just smiled. Geri once said to me, "you can visit me anytime, if you want to see a clean house, give me 6 months notice." Don't know if she was quoting someone else, but it has always stuck with me. As long as our home is clean enough I would rather spend the time with our children, then scrubbing the wood floors to a high gloss shine that will get spilled on anyway. Sometimes a good reminder is needed of what is really important.

I really needed to hear this. we have so much clutter right now I have no ideas where to begin, it is hard enough to keep the house generally neat and the dishes and laundry caught up.

Okay, I love that! That is great I need to put that saying on my front door.
